July Boating event. Raft off at whiskey creek

Members and friends,

Join us at our July boating event, this month we will hold a raftoff at whiskey creek on Saturday the 23rd 10am to 5pm. This is an awesome location you can reach by boat or by car. Cross the sand bar and you are on the beach or swim in the creek by the boats.

Note that this area fills up fast on Saturdays so we suggest boaters try to arrive before 11am to secure a spot. If going by boat, be sure you can clear the bridge to enter the creek, then beach your boat next to one of the members. Please also note the state of the tides as it gets shallow at low tide which is 11:30 am that day, as it goes higher, you will float easier but may drift away so keep an eye on your boat.

Those going by car can park in the first lot north of the bridge, there is a path on the south side of the lot leading to whiskey creek. The café at the creek serves food and sells ice if needed or you can bring some food for yourself as some of us will grill on the boats. As always, please bring your own food and drinks and if you would like to join by boat but don’t have one, reach out and we will find someone to bring you.

All participating do so a their own risk and agree to follow all regulations and follow safety procedures. The club or its members will not be held responsible for any mishaps. boaters, please RSVP to let us know you are coming. Remember, space is limited and fills up fast.
